The Story When time travel was first invented by the military it was used for going only a few minutes back to quickly fix mistakes in battle. The techology did not allow no more than 20 minutes back. Like many things invented by the military it became recreational use for civilians. The short time trip machines were modified to last days if needed. Time Travel Tours started. The rules were no full interaction with those in the past. No causing harm- or even stopping harm that was meant to happen. Certain times and places were even "modernized" to a point. The inhabitants of that time understanding only one thing, money from foreigners. Soon western salons and 1920's flapper joints, and places of recreation all through time had the amenities of future. Some inhabitants however were not so blinded by money. Humans have always had the devastating need to set things right. Soon, people began to "fix" things. It started out minor; saving a grandfather from an accident, making sure your mother received that dress she always talked about wanting as a little girl, and making sure you didn't fail that test in high school. Humans though, always want more. Famous people were kept from dying, and soon battles and even whole wars started to disappear. Natural disasters were forewarned so people could evacuate. All the changing in the past started to make a horrible future. Some time travelers then decide not to return to the future they created and stayed in their perfect past. The future became something words cannot explain. You would have to be one of the people now stuck there to really understand. Time Tours stopped and now only the rich owned their own private machines. They only became richer because of it. Soon, time is changed to the extent that only certain circles ever knew time travel existed. The rest of humanity had no idea that hope existed to change the future they now live in.
